This program covers the highlights of the Golden Triangle along with a visit to Varanasi (one of the oldest cities in the world) and further continues to the Himalayan Kingdom of Kathmandu. The program begins starting in the capital of Delhi. Explore the fascinating sights of Old & New Delhi. Continue to Jaipur, a royal city with diverse colors and history brimming monuments and citadels. Next visit Agra, the Mughal city famous for Taj Mahal and other monumental marvels. With an overnight train you reach the holy city of Varanasi. One of the oldest habited city, it is a cultural centre for Hindu religion and city of thousand temples. Tour ends in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. Famous for Mt. Everest and its strong cultural traditions, explore the highlights of this magnificent city.

Day 01 Arrive in Delhi
Arrive in Delhi, the capital city of India. Meet & greet on arrival by a Hi-Tours representative and transfer to hotel.

Day 02 Delhi
This morning visit Old Delhi. Visit the 400-years-old Jama Mosque, the largest in India, followed by a cycle rickshaw ride through the teeming bazaar. Drive past Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

PM: drive through Lutyens’ Delhi, Rashtrapati Bhawan, the President’s Palace and India Gate, a war memorial arch built in honour of Indian soldiers who lost their lives in World War –I. Explore Qutab Minar - a UNESCO World Heritage Site., the tallest brick minaret in the world, at 238 feet (72m).

Culminate the sightseeing with a religious & philosophy experience. Accompanied by your English speaking local guide, you will visit a Hindu & Sikh Temple.

Day 03 Delhi - Jaipur (260 KM / 6 HRS))
This morning leave for Jaipur covering a distance of 260 kms in approx 6 hours.

Arrive in Jaipur and check in to your hotel.

Day 04 Jaipur
This morning leave for an excursion to magnificent Amber fort. Accent the fort riding on Elephants/Jeeps. It is known for its unique artistic style, blending both Hindu and Muslim (Mughal) elements, and its ornate and breathtaking architectural mastery.

PM: continue sightseeing tour of Jaipur. Drive past Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), one of the most photographed monuments of the city. Continue to City Palace and its museum.

Culminate with Rickshaw ride through old part of the Pink city. Time permitting: enjoy shopping experience accompanied by a specialist along with demonstration of Gem-cutting & polishing.

Special Rajasthani Dinner at Local Restaurant.

Day 05 Jaipur - Agra
Leave this morning for Jaipur covering a distance of 260 kms in approx 6 hours. En-route visit Fatehpur Sikri - a UNESCO World Heritage Site, The deserted red sandstone city was built by Emperor Akbar as his capital and Palace in the late 16th century Evening arrive in Jaipur and check in to your hotel. Meals included: Breakfast
(DAY 06 AGRA - VARANASI (MAGADH: 23:30 hrs/ 07:40 hrs + 1) )
Enjoy a sunrise visit to Taj Mahal - a UNESCO World heritage site (Closed on Friday). The 17th century Taj Mahal is often called a poem in stone. If so, the mausoleum is a love poem - created by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his favorite wife Mumtaz Mahal. It took 22 years to be completed and was designed and planned by a Persian architect Ustad Isa. Apart from its stunning design balance and perfect symmetry, the Taj is also noted for its elegant domes, intricately carved screens and some of the best inlay work ever seen. Return to hotel for breakfast.

Later visit Agra Fort - a UNESCO World heritage site. The elegant building reflects an interesting synthesis of Hindu and Central Asian architectural style. It was built by Emperor Akbar.

Remainder of the afternoon will be at leisure.

This evening transfer to Tundla railway station for an overnight train to Mughal Sarai (Varanasi)-

Day 07 Varanasi
Meet & greet on arrival by a Hi-Tour representative who will escort you to your hotel (check in time at the hotel is 1200 hours).

Visit Sarnath where Lord Buddha had preached his first sermon and which is now a spiritual place of mainly stupas, shrines and temples. Also visit the museum which houses a collection of valuable ancient scriptures & artifacts related to Buddhism. (Sarnath museum is closed on Fridays).

This evening witness a Hindu prayer ceremony ‘aarthi’ on the Ganges River. Embark on a boat to witness the Aarti for approximately 20- 30 minutes. The river banks ‘ghats’ and temples are lit with oil-lamp and candles which create a magical effect. Devotees float the oil lamps in the water as an offering to the holy river.

Day 08 Varanasi - Kathmandu
Enjoy an early morning boat cruise on River Ganges. The ghats - hundreds of stone steps flanking the riverbank - are an incredible sight, particularly at sunrise when thousands of pilgrims bathe in the spiritually cleansing waters. Funeral pyres smoke on the riverbank, which is lined with colorful temples. The boat ride is one of the best ways witness the ceremonies. After the boat ride, return to hotel for breakfast. Later a Hi-Tours representative will escort you to airport for your flight to Kathmandu. Leave: Varanasi at: 12:10 hrs by: Air India flight AI 751 Arrive: Kathmandu at: 13:20 hrs (The flight operates on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday only) Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport. Meet & greet on arrival by a Hi-Tours representative who will escort you to your hotel. Rest of the day will be at leisure. . Meals included: Breakfast
Day 09 Kathmandu
This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu. The highlights include the courtyards and chambers of the Royal Palace, Durbar Square with its highly-detailed wooden temples and the Red Towers for a view of the city and the surrounding mountain peaks.

Begin your tour with a visit to Kasthmandap, or “the Wooden Pavilion” situated at the southern edge of the city’s Durbar Square. Continue to Durbar Square which is the historic seat of Royalties. "Durbar" means the Palace. This Durbar Square with its old temples and a palace epitomizes the religious and cultural life of the people. It is the same place where Kings of Nepal are crowned and their coronations solemnized. Stop at Kumari Temple, the home to the worlds only living Goddess. Kumari is also known as Virgin Goddess.

Next visit Swayambhunath Stupa, the oldest Buddhist shrine. It is said to be 2,000 years old. Painted on the four sides of the spire’s base is the all- seeing eyes of Lord Buddha - a UNESCO World heritage monument.

The day’s tour culminates at Patan - a UNESCO World heritage monument. It is best known for its rich cultural heritage particularly its tradition of arts and crafts. The city is also called as city of festival and feast, fine ancient art, making of metallic and stone carving statue. Explore the rich heritage!

Day 10 Kathmandu
AM: visit Bhaktapur. Also known as Bhadgaon, Bhaktapur is perhaps the most popular of the three cities of Kathmandu. Newari art and architecture here reveal the best craftsmanship of the Malla period (from the 12th to the 18th century).

Later return to Kathmandu. En-route, visit Boudhanath Stupa that was built in 5th century A.D. by Lichchhavi King Mana Dev. It is on an octagonal base inset with prayer wheels. The colossal and ancient Stupa is one of the biggest in the world.

Culminate the tour with a visit to Pashupatinath Nath Temple. It is the one of the biggest Hindu Temple in the world located on the banks of the Bagmati River (Non-Hindus are not allowed to visit in the temple).

Day 11 Depart Kathmandu
Transfer to International airport for your connecting flight to your onward destination. Meals included: Breakfast
