Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Upon arrival at Delhi, you will be met by representative and transferred to your hotel.
Day 02: Arrive Delhi
Morning at Lesiure. Afternoon city tour of New & Old Delhi visiting India Gate (war memorial) at one end and Rashtrapati Bhawan (From outside) - the Presidents house at the other. This part of the city most clearly reflects Lutyens European influence. Drive past the impressive Parliament House (From outside) - Sansad Bhawan, the seat of the Government. Further drive to the towering Qutub Minar, built in 1199 AD either as a victory tower or as a minaret to the adjacent mosque. It is still the highest and the finest stone tower in India. Visit Old Delhi covering Red Fort - one of the most magnificent palaces in the world; Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India also a stunning example of Mughal architecture followed by visit to the famous main street in Old Delhi - Chandni Chowk, full of all kinds of shops it overflows with people from all walks of life amidst traffic chaos, sounds and smells. Conclude the tour at the Memorial of Mahatma Gandhi (father of the nation) at Raj Ghat, situated on the banks of the legendary Yamuna River. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03: Delhi-Sariska (180 Kms / 3 hrs)
Morning after breakfast depart for Sariska via Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary which is a haven to a variety of domestic and migratory birds. Artificial mound, have turned into a green glade. The marsh has been converted into a water body. And with the years, hundreds of species of migratory birds have winged in to stay. Winter brings in birds from as far as Siberia. Flock of geese from Europe wing in too. The local birds flap in. The bird population includes darters, egret’s shovellers, gadwell and geese dominate. Teals, kingfishers, lapwings, sandpiper’s demoiselle cranes and such like water birds nestle in. Over 100 species have been identified here. On arrival check in at hotel. Afternoon sanctuary visit. Sariska Tiger Reserve lies amidst the Aravali Hills- 800 sq km of grassland, dry deciduous forests, sheer cliffs and rocky landscape interspersed with the ruins of medieval buildings. Apart from the tiger, a variety of other wildlife like the leopard, sambhar, chital, nilgai, four-horned antelope, wild boar, rhesus macaque, langur, hyena and jungle cats are found in the park. Also a highly visible section of Sariska’s inhabitants are its many birds- the park is home to India’s largest population of peafowl, and harbours quail, sandgrouse, golden- backed woodpeckers and crested serpent eagles, among other species. The Siliserh Lake, on the edge of the park, has a large number of crocodiles. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 04: Sariska-Jaipur (100 kms / 2 hrs)
Morning after breakfast depart for Jaipur. On arrival check in at hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Jaipur city visiting Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), The City Palace, Jantar Mantar etc. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 05: Jaipur-Ranthambore (160 kms / 3 hrs)
Morning excursion to Amber fort. At Amber fort visit Sheesh Mahal, Ganesh Pol, Shila Devi Temple, Kesar Kyari Bagh. Climb up the fort on elephant’s (Subject to availability) back like the Maharajas and visit the Amber Palace of the Kuchchawa rulers. Later depart for Ranthambore. On arrival check in at hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 06: Ranthambore
Morning and evening sanctuary. Ranthambore National Park is famous for its Tigers and is a favorite with photographers. For a relatively small area, the park has a rich diversity of fauna and flora - species list includes 300 trees, 50 aquatic plants, 272 birds, 12 reptiles including the Marsh Crocodile & amphibians and 30 mammals. For the wildlife savvy, Ranthambore wildlife sanctuary today offers an intense diversity of flora and fauna. Tigers, the park’s pride make it one of the best places in the country to observe them. Apart from that a large numbers of Sambar, Chital, Nilgai, Gazzelle, Boars, Mongoose, Indian Hare, Monitor Lizards and a large number of birds. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 07: Ranthambore -Bharatpur (250 kms / 5 hrs)
Morning after breakfast depart for Bharatpur National Park. On arrival check in at hotel. Evening sanctuary visit. One of the finest bird parks in the world, Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary (Keoladeo Ghana National Park) is a reserve that offers protection to faunal species as well. Nesting indigenous water- birds as well as migratory water birds and waterside birds, this sanctuary is also inhabited by Sambar, Chital, Nilgai and Boar. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 08: Bharatpur -Delhi (185 Kms / 3 hrs)
Morning after breakfast depart for Delhi via Agra visiting the fabled Taj Mahal. Wonder at the marvel of this marble monument to love, built by Emperor Shah Jahan as a tomb for his beloved wife. On arrival check in at hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 09: Delhi-Cochin (Flight: IC 165 at 0800 / 1250 hrs)
Morning after breakfast transfer to the airport to board flight for Cochin. Upon arrival our executive will meet you in the airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 10: In Cochin / Sightseeing
Depart from hotel after breakfast for the sightseeing in Cochin, it is a city built around a cluster of many small Islands. Has a European sprit and the architecture has influences of the Portuguese, Dutch and the English. One of India’s` oldest church St.Francis is situated here and it is here that Vascodagama was buried in 1524. The Oldest church of South India used by the Dutch protestant is here and you can find a register here with the names of the people who got married here in. Close by the church there is a basilica of Santa Cruse, which was made in 1902. In the South East of Fort Cochin is Mattanchery and is used to be the Dutch palace. In the South of Fort Cochin is the Jewish Synagogue of 16th century. There is an Island called Bolgatty and here was the palace of the Dutch Governor. Morning tour of the city, harbor and island with so many reminders of the city’s colonial past. Visiting the church of St.Francis where Vascode Gama was buried in 1952. In the evening visiting the famous dance drama of Kerala, the Kath kali. This dance can be characterized by grotesque gesticulations, amazing costumes and very extensive make-up. The stories are mostly taken from the Mahabharata and Ramayana. (Overnight stay a hotel in Cochin)
DAY 11: Cochin to Alleppey (65 KMS / 1.5 HRS)
Cruise: Alleppey – Kumarakom Trip Depart from hotel after breakfast an drive to Alleppey a back water paradise on arrival check in to the private house boat in alleppy, which take you on a tour to the splendid area full of canals, lakes and coves. You can sunbathe on the deck or observe the landscape from the protection of the cabin. The population’s whole life takes place on the water. The people sail, fish, swim and bathe there. They do their washing and their washing up. They are so adapted to the water that you can see people talking for an hour, while they are up to their necks in water. Canoes with huge sails still transport people and you can find vegetable sellers, fisherman and other household materials being brought door to door by small wooden boats. This whole area is surrounded with coconut palms and lush green rice fields. The major cropping here is coconut and it is said that the name KERALA comes from the old name of coconut - KERA. The whole night Stay in the houseboat and enjoy the night stay in the houseboat floating on the water. (Overnight stay at the houseboat)
DAY 12: Alleppey to Kumarakom (90 KMS / 2 HRS)
Depart from hotel after breakfast and drive to kumarakom. On arrival check in to the hotel and proceed to Visit the bird sanctuary it is located on the banks of the Vembanad Lake, the bird sanctuary is spread across 14 acres. The Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, an ornithologist's paradise is a favorite haunt of migratory birds like the Siberian stork, egret, darter, heron and teal. You can find the migratory birds that flock in thousands, some from the Himalayas, some even from as far as Siberia. (Over night stay at hotel in Kumarakom)
Day 13: Kumarakom to Wayanad (360 kms / 8 hrs)
Depart from the houseboat and then drive towards Wayanad this is known as the green paradise of Kerala.The name Wayanad has been derived from the expression 'Vayal nadu' - the village of paddy fields. On arrival check in the hotel at Wayanad and after small refreshment moving for the sight seeing in Wayanad it includes the places like Chembra Peak this is the highest peak in Wayanad and is about 2100 m above the sea level trekking can be done in this peak. Meenumutty waterfall is another attraction in Wayanad it flows into a depth of more than 500m in 3 steps. An Edakkal cave is another important attraction in wayanad, the Edakkal cave in the Ambukuthy Mountain, is not a cave in the real sense. It is only a cleft about 96ft. long and 22ft wide in the rock'. It is a fissure made by a corner of rock splitting off from the main body due to some natural causes. The depth of both the cleft and the fissure is 30 ft. The rock wall contains some interesting carvings, which represent human and animal figures and objects of human use and symbols. This carving speaks of a highly civilized people of pre-historic age and inspires the archaeologists and historians to rewrite the history of Wayanad and Kerala as a whole. DAY 14: Waynad to Mysore (185KMS / 4 HRS)
Depart from the jungle in Kabini and drive to Mysore. Mysore a charming, easygoing city has long been a favorite with travelers. The city derived its name from a demon name Mahishasuran who was killed by Lord Chamundeeshwari. Mysore is famous for its silk and is also thriving sandal wood incense center. Until Independence Mysore was ruled by the Maharajas, a princely state covering about a third of present-day Karnataka. The Maharaja’s walled Indo-Saracenic palace is a major attraction. Mysore Palace is a beautiful walled Indo-Saracenic palace occupies the entire southeastern sector of the city center. The seats of Maharajas of Mysore grace the cities Skyline. An earlier palace burnt down in 1897 and the present one also known as Amba vilas palace was completed in 1912 at a cost of Rs.4.2 million. Inside it’s a Kaleidoscope of stained glass, mirror, gilt with gaudy colors, beautifully carved wooden doors, decorations with ivory, historical 3D paintings etc. Full day sight seeing of Mysore visiting Amba Vilas Palace and Museum. In the evening proceed to visit the Chamundeswari Hill temple for a good view of the town at Dusk time when the lights of the town go on. (Overnight Stay at hotel in Mysore)
DAY 15: Mysore to Kabini (120 KMS / 3 HRS)
Depart from the hotel after breakfast and drive to Kabini. Kabini, a scenic delight was once the hunting lodge of the erstwhile Mysore Maharajahs. The steep valleys with rich forests, spectacular pools and rapids provide an ideal opportunity to revive your adventurous spirits. Here you can have the breathtaking view of the elephants playing catch, Leopards on the prowl, Antelopes jumping across the bushes, or maybe even a tigress with her cubs. Kabini - the perfect gateway for nature lovers. (Overnight stay at hotel in Kabini)
DAY 16: Departure Transfer
Depart from the hotel after breakfast and drive to Bangalore airport to connect flight back home.
